platinum is really really pricey… whats wrong with white gold? it looks good, looks like platinum and is a lot more reasonably priced. or even yellow gold. 18K is stronger than 22K and is less yellow.
the Fiance wanted something really strong since he plays soccer and tennis and needed something that wouldn’t scratch. he’s also not into wearing rings so he was afraid if it was a heavy metal, he would feel it on his finger all the time and it would irritate him. we ended up going with a titanium band. its much stronger than gold and is scratch-resistant and really light. and he’s very happy with it and thats what matters!

i would really really suggest he go with you to shop for his ring- a lot of the stuff that i thought would look good on my hubs to be, actually looked like crap. so don’t risk it- take him with you and let him pick it out. he might start caring once he’s in the store and sees the variety to choose from.
