Re: Men's Cologne

to be - police

As for the composition, we can guess a dose of adventure accompanies this flacon design. Black pepper dictates characteristic spicy accords in the beginning refreshed with cold and luminous grapefruit. A fresh wave of violet leaves gives a fine, elegant note to the new Police edition. The base of the composition incorporates woody notes of cedar and patchouli along with a fine trail of white amber.

Re: Men’s Cologne

I went and fell in love with Gucci Made to Measure…

I’d never even heard of it before…but the next one is probably going to be the Hermes…it was gorgeous!!!

Re: Men's Cologne

CK Free smells awesome too! Anyone who is stuck to Eternity would love it :)

You know my favs from Creed, and then Duro, black Afgano by Nasomatto.

With fall here, try Varvatos Vintage which is my current fav, and Artisan which is also fantastic.

Prada Linea Rosa is more daytime and summery, Amber is a little more evening type.

Re: Men’s Cologne

Yes. And you brought a very good and deep thought to ponder upon.

Re: Men’s Cologne

Being honest I have not heard about that either … Hmm “Gucci Made to Measure”? I’ll check it out - I have tried other Gucci products and they don’t seem to last, but they have good top notes - which is why they sell because the first scent is the selling point.

The middle and base notes of Terre D’Hermes however is what roped me in … the lasting smell is different to the top note … which is the reason why I think it took a long time before it became popular. Oh, they have more recently made a female version for Terre D’Hermes as well, when you get a chance try if you have not already done so.

When I buy my fragrances I smell them in the store get a sample on card and on my skin and walk away for an hour to do my shopping come back in to the store to see how they have behaved to get a sense of their middle note. Then I will buy them … If I am going to invest more than $500 on a fragrance then I will wait a day to get a sense of the base note and its strength to decide which.

Bond 9 New York Oud lasted several days on a piece of card - about 8 days in free air, which went on to 3 weeks if I sniffed it up close. It was more expensive than I wanted it to be … but I eventually got it … The good thing about the really high end fragrances is that they last a really long time. I could go through 3 or 4 bottles of Terre D’Hermes with only one bottle of the other stuff in the same time.

Re: Men's Cologne

You can buy men's chrome cologne for him, my brother use it. It's a soft fragrance so he would like it.
