I had just arrived in Pakistan in 2001 and was dead tired on the long flight, didn't get a chance to go to the bathroom at Lahore airport, we were going home (another city about 3 hours drive) and it must be 2-3 a.m. when I had to go. So we stopped the car, got out, went to the field next to the highway, and peed.

We were in the village visiting our nani’s house. I must be 10-11 and we were playing on the roof. It was cloudy weather and I had to pee. I didn’t feel like going downstairs and in the bathroom. So I went to the gutter (parnala) and started doing it. Mein bacha tha, mera nishana itna theek nahi tha, sometimes the stream would go straight out of the parnala directly on to the street and something it would hit the parnala and the pee would fall in little sprinkles (like rain).

There was this man passing by in the street right below the parnala Mujhe nahi pata tha, meney apna kaam jaari rakha. Uskey sar par “BAARISH HUI” aur woh kahta “oye ay meenh kithon pey gaya achanak” I just finished doing my business and went back to playing

So we men are free to pee anywhere we can. In desh I have seen people urinating against the Masjid wall in full public view.
The problem is this that in most towns and cities there is no system of public toilets. In some big cities municipalities have made some paid toilets.
So you will see people relieving them anywhere , everywhere in full public view.
In civilized societies you would not expect anybody lose their lives just to relieve themselves , but unfortunately it happened in UK today.

A man was killed at a busy railway station when he reportedly urinated on the track.
British Transport Police confirmed the 41-year-old was electrocuted at Vauxhall station in south London last week.
He walked on to the track from Platform 1, a BTP spokesman said.
According to reports, the Polish tourist went to find somewhere discreet to go to the toilet but his urine splashed on to the live rail.
He was said to be a married teacher who was visiting the UK to improve his English.

I am very shy in this matter so I cannot do it in public view. Once in my life I parked my car for to get some privacy and did it against the wall of a private office in Karachi in the late evening hours.
