I like having her around, because she can give her perspective on stuff. But sometimes, I know what I am looking for and I don’t need second opinions in which case I will do my own shopping.
as far as giving her some amount for shopping, she has credit and debit cards, she can go buy what she needs. although i do know when i am not with her, she tends to buy too much stuff for the kids, and then has to go return it.
for us solo shopping is more of a necessity than preference, its a pain to shop with kids, so unless we can leave them with a baby sitter if you want to shop in peace, go solo. and then when we do have a baby sitter, we would rather go out for a nice meal than shopping.
an advantage of store websites and return policies is that we can show each other stuff online and order online or go get it, and then return it if it does not work.
