So another question on this topic that has no universal consensus (and yes I understand that the hormonal college guys shown in the video don’t speak for all men )

Explain this to me one more time - is the reason guys and girls cannot be friends because at one point the guy wanted to get with the girl and therefore there was a moment in the friendship when he wanted a non-platonic relationship and that single moment taints the claims of friends-only?

Or is it that he will always want or would take up the opportunity to be with his friend who is a girl? And what if either is married and committed, wouldn’t that negate the desire to be non-platonic friends with a platonic friend?
