i don't know about all this yellow...its just too much for me! plus i know i look horrid in that shade... i made my mehendi gharara more of a gold than a yellow.
i asked my lady to do the stage in this really pretty not quite olive green but like a chartreuse-y green color, and a watermelon pink. they're both two-tone tissue so its got green and gold, and then pink and gold. and its got mirror work on it, so it'll reflect light nicely i think. the chaadar covering the stage is also pink with different shades of pink in it.
and for tables, we're doing different bright colored rose petals on the tables with candles on top of those so hopefully it should look pretty without being super yellow! so yeah, maybe consider some other colors too for your swing/stage :)
