I had the same colours for my sisters mehndi. My outfit was yellow with pink, blue and gold on it and the dupatta was pink with a blue border and gold on it.

^I think the idea is that the groom's side brings the mehndi for the bride to put on, so she wouldn't have it yet. Of course that's not how things are done anymore. But the other concern is that the color will be too light on the wedding night if you do it too early.

Yeah but one night (if mehndi is the night before) won't really affect hte color of the mehndi, if the mehndi is done the morning of the mehndi?

mmm gud question so much variety its unbelievable but neways i know royal blue compliments yellow well as i saw my cuz’s mehndi outfit n turquoise yes but have seen it before…its becoming too common i wore turqoise n yellow bk in 2003 on my mehndi but seriously give blue n yellow a thought judging by my cousins outfit it looked beautiful…hope this helps:hoonh:
