But we always make them wear shiny, bling bling clothes! They don't complain! Atleast, we didn't when we were children.

i agree, but it will be a problem because of the HOT HOT summer. plus loadshedding.
Winter weddings, no problem how much shiny and over blinged they get.
But in June they'll be complains and moans after 15-20 minutes.... and then the immediate problem of finding something light and summery and stylish/formal at the same time.
Which is why somebody pleeeaaase give me some ideas........
also there's no time to get them tailored.
Most of my relatives go for bareeze or junaid jamshed...they even have very light ghararas with gota work (some in cotton too), capris and shalwar kameez. they basically do mini versions of the latest fashion.

Minne Minors (Available at Chinyere) has delightful stuff including ghararas with muslin linning. It is very easy to get them stitched as well with fabric that you like. Light peshwases with crinkle Georgette with pretty gota laces would do the trick.

Mehndi, barat and walima clothes idea for kids?
i really want to some something new and different for girls around 6.. a wedding is near and i need to make clothes..
most of the designs make the girls look like little women.. and im thinking about a lengha(one legged)?

^ I don't like them. They are so muted. Little girls clothes should be vibrant.
I like the one leg lenghas, long frock with colorful kalis.

I got some nice ones form minnie minors couple years ago because I really didn’t have time to get them stitched. Replicas are available in the markets.
