Haris sohail is a 30 run player... he needs more control over his temperament. Which will eventually come if he has it in him and given enough chances... but u know...in our part, u never know
And...
I have a terrible time not understanding why people have a problem with anything/decision/farce that involves PCB. How can u expect the well which is infested with dung to erupt mineral water, with a perfect strike rate???

For me it is good decision. rather having short tempered Ahmed shahzad. Lets hope he over comes his shortcomings of slow avg.

Azhar Ali, the guy has played massive amount of 14 ODIs for Pakistan, while likes of Sarfaraz have played only 39.

Write it on a wall, scribe it on a stone or save it on cloud (these days), Pakistan will be hovering around 4-7 ranks for next 10 years, with this type of management and mind set. Only short burst of brilliance and surprises will be produced by Pakistan's pace battery (including M. Amir).

Exactly! I guess they are looking at “captaincy” from ‘martialing the troops’ (while being “Yes Sir!!” captain) perspective and not someone whose own contribution/style will affect cricket in the team and country. Idiots justified it by saying ‘Azhar Ali has significant amount of international experience’ as opposed to Sarfaraz Ahmad while combined number of international games for both Azhar and Sarfaraz is similar and the format for which he is being made captain he has played much smaller number of games but oh well, this is PCB

I think the reason they picked Azhar Ali is because his character is very similar to Misbah. Regardless of any grudges some players might have against him, he will be mature about it and try and keep the team gelled together.
He is a subdued and mature person, again like Misbah. Obviously if he doesn't perform as captain Sarfraz is the VC so he can take over the reigns.
Sarfraz Ahmed just cemented his place in the team so let him perform for a while before we burden him with captaincy. Let's face it, captaining the Pakistani Cricket team which is full of drama queens, captaincy is a burden.

After that, if Misbah survives (do not get out), his strike rate gets better, rather quite good, and that is the reason his overall SR is ~74 (not too bad). On the other hand, Azhar Ali is consistent with his strike rate, and that consistency is on slow side, and that is why his SR is < 65 runs per 100 balls.
Misbah overall combination of Average and SR is better than most Pakistani batsmen, including Hafeez, Shahzad and Younis Khan. Even though none of Pakistani batsmen is worthy of any praise, if Misbah SR was similar to his average SR (~74) from ball one and Misbah was also good in rotating the strike (that increases SR of his partners), then, after taking into account Misbah average of 43, I would consider Misbah a reasonably good ODI batsman.
As for Azhar Ali, he is not even worthy to be called ODi batsman. He would only make team lose ODI matches and nothing else. As Captain, he would give free hand to batsmen who would like to play slow (as slow as Azhar Ali plays), so that these batsmen can make runs increasing their average at the expense of Pakistan, as their tuk tuk would only make Pakistan lose matches.
I only hope that he improves his SR in ODI matches, that is all. If he would manage to do that, then he could be asset to Pakistani team. Actually, I was looking his recent SR in domestic 50 overs ('list A') matches, and it seems he has improved a lot.

rab da wasta hai saleem bhai..jan chor do misbah kee. he is retired now. I know you are sort of admiring misbah in this post for a change, but uss kee jan chor do.. wo chala gaya hai.
