Media: Any neutral?

Re: Media: Any neutral?

right, clearly the world's media isnt living upto your standards then.

going back to the topic, given that we've established that we arent able to cite a single media outlet in the world that is neutral, I believe pakistani private channels arent committing a cardinal sin by following the footsteps of NBC, BBC, NYTimes, WSJ, The Hindu, Al Jazeera, Fox, Guardian, Sky News, Daily Mail etc.

with private ownership of media, its only likely that u'll hear what you want to hear if you are a large enough demographic. if your views are too narrow to make money off of then maybe thats your fault.

the market has spoken.

I'm not here to uphold standards. Just correcting your statement. Thats all friendo. :)

Re: Media: Any neutral?

its clear that we remain in disagreement whether or not neutrality is a trait media must have, therefore i'll terminate the infinite loop. i think it isnt, you think it does. fine.

you go ahead and think you've corrected me, i'll go ahead and think you tried.

Re: Media: Any neutral?

I haven't done anything. Just stated a fact, friendo. :)

Re: Media: Any neutral?

In ideal situation media should be neutral but ideal situation never existed. Honestly speaking all of us have our biases and we see the world through our colored glasses. Then how can we expect people in media to be neutral, after all they are also human.

Thanks. Thats my point. Its a rule set in stone. Whether anyone follows it (and its impossible to know and not probable anyway) wasn't my concern.

Re: Media: Any neutral?

Rupert Murdoch, is the man behind most of the media power houses, print or electronic, from Sun, News of the World, Times, Sky in UK, Times, Mirror etc in Austrailia to Fox in US and many more Star TV etc. we can imagine how similar policies are followed around the world.

negetive coverage also includes when media completely ignore certain type of society, or an issue
