Maybelline

Re: Maybelline

I am still interested to know more about the Fit me concealer. Can it be applied daily without applying foundation just on it’s own ?

Re: Maybelline

^ Yes, certainly. I wear it everyday without foundation under my eyes, around my nose and just a few dabs on any marks I have. It’s really creamy and blends easily. I use shade 10.

I’ve tried so many concealers and I find that they either dry up under my eyes and look cakey or rub away. But this has been my saviour through my 8 - 10 hour days at work  The price is awesome too.

Re: Maybelline

I loved it so much too. But after 6months it turned more liquidy and orange and looked cakey did that happen to you? Is the dream lumi the same?

Re: Maybelline

^ I don’t think I’ve quite had mine 6 months (actually, I might have) but I haven’t noticed any change in the consistency. Maybe you just had a bad batch? :konfused:

I’ve not tried the Dream Touch Lumi.

Re: Maybelline

Shade 10 is the lightest one in the Fitme concealers…is your skin tone the same shade?
Wow that’s really light skinned.

I’m still learning about what shade of concealer is right for me. In terms of texture and thickness, creaminess, it’s perfect, you’re right but I again fall between shades with concealers too and with Fitme it’s the same. So I guess my question is, some say concealer should be lighter than skintone and others say it’s should be the same shade as a person’s skin tone. I honestly don’t know who is right.

Re: Maybelline

^Just do what you think suits you in terms of concealer colour.. It shouldn’t be difficult to work out which gives a better end result for you personally..

I use the same colour concealer but others use a shade lighter and they look gorgeous.. Using a lighter colour can cover dark circles and brighten up the area under the eyes..

Re: Maybelline

I’ve tried both i think the same colour to half a shade lighter is the easiest to work with. If you have light dark circles i wouldn’t use lighter or the area will look too bright if your dark circles are dark it can look ashy only people in the middle can get away with it.

It also depends on your skin/foundation colour if its alot lighter than the skin colour it will look obvious. Online it looks good when i tried it in real life it looked fake on me. I think it only looks nice if your going to contour and highlight and for parties otherwise it looks like your wearing alot of makeup for everyday wear.

Re: Maybelline

It’s slightly lighter than my skin tone but I’m lighter around the centre of my face so it seems to blend in naturally. I think shade 15 is the lightest (surprisingly) from what I’ve read online?!

As the others have said, it depends on the look you’re going for and the colour of your under bags. You could always try a corrector first and then apply the lighter concealer on top. It wouldn’t look ashy that way.
