You don’t need a brush unless you’re concerned about keeping your hands clean (it’s not messy). You simply put some on your finger tips (the same way that you put face cream on your finger tips…before applying it to your face).
Get some on you your finger tip (I just juse my index finger) and apply it to the apply it to your cheeks. That’s it.
