and as far as stocks go, this chrsitmas season, the earnings will be bad for reatilers and toy manufacturers because of the whole issue with lead in toys.

The credit crunch is hitting worldwide. Banks in UK have been affected and rumours are that Barclays have suffered serious losses. Northern Rock saga has already dented the market confidence. Rough ride ahead.

Could be a nasty global recession. Like a wildfire in California it will spread across the board into different sectors with different agencies trying various efforts to limit the effects, some will work some won't. If anyone knew for sure they would make a lot of money off this burn. Watch the economy become issue #1 (even more so) in the 2008 election. This will be with us for awhile, enjoy the ride it just started.
