May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

lol ya ...i hope Aus will defeat bangalis easily

ya especially at Caribbean

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Eng 99/5 in 17.2 overs. Even 130 should be a good score against Irish.

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

112/6 in 19 overs

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

I think eng can win if they get 2-3 early wickets

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Eng settle at 120/8 in 20 overs

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Target for Ireland: 121

See...if Ireland will be able to eliminate England( a major upset)...won't be easy for Ireland I guess...

PS: But the weather factor...which way it will swing... :D

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

raining again!!

it would be awesome if DL is used again against England... but Ireland dont really have a great run rate at the moment do they.

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

My mistake. I forgot abt rain.
I think irish can win . They need 31 from 21 balls if D/L is applied for 5 overs

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Same can happen in Aus / BD match.
This is not right time for this T20 to take place in WI

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

just wathcing PK vs Australia highlights during rain delay n feels
" Kaash butt had taken that catch "

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Guys…Australia won’t be that stupid to ignore the weather factor…

PS: By chance…though its not great(weather factor)…Pakistan’s elimination will be solely responsible by Shahid Afridi (bad captaincy)and the selectors(bad selections) who made him captain this time…

PS1: I opted for Razzaq to captain the team…hmmmm… :jhanda:

The umpires are heading back out onto the field, closely followed by the players, and it appears that play is only moments away. And the good news is, *no overs have been lost so we still have a full game with the same target here! *

This game could still go either way..

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

1.6 Sidebottom to Stirling, OUT, what a catch! Michael Lumb, take a bow! The ball was short again and this time Stirling was waiting for it. He absolutely murdered it out to square leg and a boundary seemed a certainty, but Lumb sprinted round to take a brilliant diving catch metres from the rope. A superb effort, and Stirling is nonplussed as he trudges off

This is how you can win a match!

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

From Cricinfo: What a shame, it's raining heavily again and the players are coming off as the covers come on. Ireland needed 27 in 5 on D/L, but we've only had three and a bit overs so far

This could be another D/L marred tournament.

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Looks like it will be washed out, in that case both Eng and Ire will share 1 point each and based on run-rate Eng will proceed to S-8 round.

EDIT: ^ Its confirmed now.

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

Getting 27 off 30 balls would have been a lot easier for Ireland but England got lucky it didn't stop raining.

Re: May 4, 2010 - World T20 - NZ v Zim - Eng v Ire

bummer

i was so rooting for an ireland win

now we dont want something like that to happen in tomorrow's game between Bangladesh and Australia.
