Re: VERY Rewarding Nafl Salaahs we can Pray Everyday!
Peace Hamza81,
I couldn’t find ‘Tahiyat-ul-Wudu’ written in hadith except that after performing ablution during the day or night, Hazrat Bilal r.a. prayed after that ablution as much as was written for him. Means He prayed till His wudu remained. How come Hazrat Bilal’s r.a. prayers labled as ‘Tahiyat-ul-Wudu’ or that specific ‘prayer’ known as ‘Tahiyat-ul-Wudu’?
Book ‘Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)’ of Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 250 (as quoted at post #1 ).
“Narrated Abu Huraira: At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet asked Bilal, “Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise.” Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me .”
P.S. My point is only about the word ‘Tahiyat-ul-Wudu’.
Asalaamu Alaikum, it is onkly named Tahiyyatul Wudu so that we can recognise i as being a voluntary prayer that is prayed after Wudu. This should become a habit of ours as it is hugely rewarding.
