Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, as humans we can achieve great things. We do so much to set up ourselves in this world. We strive hard to achieve accreditions and certifications, we strive hard everyday to get up for work and 5 days a week we work.
We do so much to ensure a good life in this life but why can’t we do the same to strive to get closer to Allah the one who created us and gave us the very jobs we have and is sustaining us everyday. The only one stopping us from achieving closeness to Allah is ourselves. We are all sinners and even those who pray 5 times a day still struggle to maintain it.
There is nothing stopping us from achieving closeness to Allah but ourselves and we are stopping ourselves achieving great things. We set ourselves worldy targets but let us set ourselves targets to achieve closeness to Allah. Onlu you are stopping yourself from acheiving this. We all work and we all have responsibilites but that does’nt meant that there is any excuse for us not to achieve closeness to Allah.
Only in the hereafter will we truly regret the not getting close to Allah and we will ask Allah for another chance to put us back on earth so we can do things better but we will not be able to. So let us take this chance now before death overtakes us and preperations are made for our our funerals.
