I think other arab nations need to follow suit and take their leadership role back from Latin America which has recently been called the 'Arab Leaders'. Though i don't think this cut of ties will do any substantial damage to Israel because it will just ask U.S. for more aid, and we all know U.S. will more than likely comply. hint Olmert bragging about how he shunned Condi
What is needed is a formulated policy that defines a course of action should Israel continue to be the oppressive zionist regime that is it portraying itself to be. Arab nations can send in a peace-keeping force which will be suitable to Palestinians because it is muslim force, and a deterrant to Israelis not to send off even the slightest spark, or they may face the wrath of a combined force backed by UN (whatever little value it has these days).
Cutting ties is the first step, but more needs to be done.
