But he was meeting them in Governor house way before the killings. Besides, it’d be better if a group of scholars/leaders from different schools/sects get together and then talk to politicians, that way no one can criticize each other.

He didn’t go to governor house for a “meeting” about killings rather a lecture. I agree that leading scholars should get together to resolve issues but than both Deoband and Brelvi scholars have their own political parties which sort of kills such a process.
