funny thing is when ever I made a right decisions based on excepted norms It made me miserable. And over time It proved to be the worst move.. AND when ever I follow my instinct I became happy.. career took off.. and more money too 
No question about it… I will just add you got to have a positive impact on your family/friends too. Just holding on to few things and not caring about every one else is not so kool.
Life is not such a big mystery that some one would need some one else to show how it need to be done.
Almost every one has some quality which is rewarding to observe, and unique enough to learn it from. So I would say its important that we don’t limit our self to few ppl to learn from. We had a little servant boy who could solve a block puzzle in 5 mins. Same puzzle adults cant resolve ever.
But mostly a extremely good list.
