Yuseless Khan
Totally agreed. I would much prefer Asim Kamal be given a chance rather than Yunis be presented to us over and over again.
The most telling thing about this was what happened today and the end of our innings. You really could’nt even tell that Yunis was a speacialist batsman. I had greater hopes of Sami hitting a boundary than Yunis. Usually if you have a speacilist batsman left after a batting collapse, something we are all too familiar with, then you still have a chance of posting a decent total. With Yunis, you always get the feeling he is just waiting to get out. I have never had any confidence in the guy.
and besides younis scored 144 and malik still scored only 143… ![]()
so we know who’s better… ![]()
younis khan is just a support for the other side.. he is the kind of person who settles ppl around him so they can perform while he just gets the singles and doubles.
Youhana i belive should be shown the door out as he hasnt performed at all .. and shoaib akhtar oo ... someone should be showed the door then only will their attitudes come back to Imran Khan era

I think Asim Kamal & Misbah can do better Job then Younis Khan.
LOL, agreed!
not to stir any hard feelings. But isn't asim kamal from karachi. You guys think that has something to do with his exclusion from this tournament.

Not at all. If that was the case they wouldn't have dropped Kamran Akmal for Moin?. Bhai meray its all PCB, like God they move in mysterious ways.

moin is more established that's why he was included. Come on, you know that PCB stands for punjab cricket board.

Atlanta bhai, please no regionalism. I fully support Asim's inclusion in place of Younis and he is not from Punjab. There is only one criteria which should apply and that is : Merit. Everything else should be secondary.
I agree with you that merit should be the only criteria. But you know that regionalism has always played in pak and indian cricket. There is no way to deny that. Look at india, sourav ganguly had all sorts of trouble early on just because he is bengali.
Atlanta, though Younis Khan is pathan, but he is from Rashid Latif academy, why do you think he is in team? do you think Rashid is influential? or any other reason?
PCB must give Asim a chance, they are treating him the same way they treated Hasan Raza & Saeed bin Nasir.
Both Nasir & Asim are solid batsman and probably out perform some of the senior players like Younis Khan & Yousef Youhanna.
What the hell happened to Youhanna he has been struggling since NZ tour?
Should Pakistan let Yasir Hameed, Asim Kamal do WK to make room for another batsman or Bowler?

I think we should fire the whole PCB and hire foreign selectors & chairman (Australia & NZ, Sri Lanka.. ETC)
*******No more Punjabi & Pathan union, Just Jokin. :)
Punjab is a bigger province and they are more players in Punjab then other provinces, Sindhi and Balochi don't play cricket. More player come from Punjab then any where else in Pakistan because more money is spent on establishing cricket in Punjab.
Karachi player don't get too many chances since they are from Karachi while many players from Punjab skip Pakistan A team and jump from First-Class to National team.
I think we should select player based on Merit not because they know the skipper or they know one of the selector. I think if PCB gives BOB a chance he will totally change Pakistan cricket. There are so many cricket players who deserve a chance players in National team, Players like Misbah who should have been including in the team prior to last WC. I feel sorry for him now he is 29 and he doesn't have too many years left. (He should try to play overseas). Asim Kamal, Saeed Bin Nasir (perfect #3 for ODI), Bazid Khan, Salman Butt.
No Faisal Iqbal: He has been given too many chanceses.
No Naveed Latif: he can't run, his fielding is worse then Inzi.
who sayz Younis is useless he is a good player......... the problem is that the team is not using him properly .......... why place him in the One-dayz n the no.5 where he comes is a place of a hitter n Khan is a player who likes to build his inningz ........ n he is much better in the Tests.
haa he can be used in one-dayerz at no.4 what do u say?? ;)

He doesn't want to play #3, he can't play # 4 because of Inzi & yohanna. Let him play in domestic cricket, I would rather have Asim or Misbah in Test then Younis.
Younis is history, scoring 144 against HK is like playing againt mohalay ki team, HK is worst team in Asia.
I really hope the Karachi thing has nothing to do with Asim's exclusion. I doubt it does since Sheryar Khan, the head of the PCB is from Karachi.
Also I was always under the impression that Yunis Khan was from NWFP.
Anyhow I would drop Yunis in a heartbeat for anybody who can swing a bat and does'nt play in MLB. Asim obviously is at the top of the list.
Technically Younis Khan looks much better than Shoaib Malik. Younis is like Michael Beven of Pakistan team…he will get you singles and doubles and rotate the strike….nothing more nothing less. Shoaib doesn’t have a good foot work…it would be interesting to see him perform on swinging wickets.

Younis looks ok but we need a solid batsman, who can put some decent score on the board.
Younis is older he has gotten enough chances to prove that he deserve to be in the team, Shoaib malik (more of Captain material) Young and he is still learning, Bob is working with him hope he can achor is place 1 down. Shoaib blowing is also improving, his foot work is better the Tufeeq Umer & Imran Nazir.
