Well since you are my best friend, I will take the time to explain to you.
Super 8s have 2 groups of 4. Each team will play each other team within their group. Then they will play every team in the other group. The teams who win the most games proceed to Super 4.
In the Super 4, all teams will play each other again. Except that the bowlers will be exchanged between teams. This ensures that batting supremacy in cricket is maintained. To avoid bowlers underperforming when playing rival teams, their families will be kidnapped and will let go only if an independent panel of Canadians confirm that the bowlers did indeed play to their full potential.
The top 2 teams from the Super 4 proceed to the last stage. Super 2. In this stage, the teams play a test match to determine the winner of the T20 WC. Everyone knows T20 is a joke so you cannot decide the champion of a T20 WC based on just a T20 game.
The bottom 2 teams from the Super 8 will nominate 2 of their players to act as umpires for the test match. Their families will have to be kidnapped again - to be let go only when an independent panel of Koreans confirm there was no bias.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Very funny! I know super 8 is jut last 8 split in two groups. But the initial round was ridiculous. Groups of 3 with 2 from each going through.
I dnt think one person should be blamed...the whole team was just...bad.
Good thing Misbah was not there..otherwise everyone would have blamed him for this loss too...for a while now the team as a whole has been whacky...your batting and fielding has been consistently inconsistent! The bowling...hmmm...I dnt know...the total was not a defendable total for the bowlers to fight back...but yeahhh..I did expect some magic from Ajmal.
Inside the first six overs when you deny the strike to your partner and consume the strike without scoring then you are the biggest culprit of the match.
The captain who was trying to repay the debts that he owed to Afridi who brought him in side in 2010 and gave him consistent chances even though Haeez was not setting the world alight.
Hafeez was trying to repay the debt by promoting him up the order to damage the already working combination of Nasir and Kamran and also Hafeez batted like as if he was facing McCgrath and not Virat.
Then while fielding, he didnt even bring Ajmal on quick enough, we all knew the game is not going to last 20 overs but instead he gave extra overs to Afridi who has 30+ wickets against India in 70+ limited overs games. He made it too easy for india while batting and bowling, but in doing so he has successfully kept Afridi Media people off his back who just last week were writing articles that Hafeez shouldnt consider himself same as MSD.
