Sunni Tehreek is fighting wing of brelvi school of thought. They plan their activities in Lines Area Karachi. I believe they run torture cells too. They developed parchi system (bhatta).
But they do not do mass scale bomb blasts or killings. Their main rival is MQM by the way.

I think there should be Karachi encounter squad, that just gets rid of these people who carry out these senseless killings and create chaos in the city. why put them through trial process, when most of them get released after a while??

7 PPP workers were killed in the last few days.

I remember the days when 4-5 killings used to shut down whole city as if pata nahi kia ho gaya hai and I used to think k kitney kharab din aa gayee hain but now 15...16..20 every day and life goes on ..... dont know when and how will all this stop...

When the government is interested in filling its throats with as much money as possible, law and order doesn't really matter to them.
Since this disgraceful hakoomat came into place I have lost count of the horror stories i.e. killings I have personally heard, within my friends and family.

Very true. When the killings were on the rise, they started pet project via Zulfiqar Mirza and tried to create another killing mafia instead of trying to capture killers. Now we see sectarian killings in rest of Pakistan but the best they came up with is 'fact finder'. Now we have killings in Karachi but there is no initiative from government to enforce law.
Only if UN will offer President Zardari $500-1000 for each person "saved" then we will see hundreds of lives saved.

Also the favorite thing they do is, whenever something as bad as this happens, we hear how they create a committee to ''investigate'' what's happened. More like fool the people into thinking they actually care. Sick of this.
So many needless innocent lives shed, so many families ruined. I am amazed these idiots can sleep at night.

you are right, entire city would be shut down, but now since last few years situation has deteriorated so much that people have no option but to move on with their lives, however, having said, I sometimes get shocked at this silence, nobody seems to raise and speak against the bloodshed?

they need to be told, that we dont buy these empty shallow promises anymore.

Well - the count for the month of August 2012 is **178 **And from Jan to Aug 2012 , **1256 **were reported to be killed .

2011 was deadliest year for Karachi, but now looking at these daily target killings news, I think this year is even worse. rooz loog marte hen.... zulm ki inteha!
other day, RM was saying terrorists want to make Karachi a safe haven. yeah, so what are you doing about that? he comes and informs us, thinking people are really that naive that they dont really know who is behind these killings and who has given them a free hand to carry on with this bloodshed.
