Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana ‘Burqa’ and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
Haven’t read the comments but it is always fun watching Marvi fight on TV.
“Aap pehlay tameez se baat karna seekhain”. ![]()
Also, can somebody tell Tahir Ashrawi that someday he is going to explode on the sets of some TV show.
That dude is the size of an elephant. ![]()
Isn’t bassiyaar-khoari a sin is Izlaam ?
And isn’t he on payroll of Geo network ?
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
What is halala (her opening comment) service btw?
nikah!
Halala is when you temporarily marry a divorced woman so she can go back and remarry her ex hubby. Sounds fun innit?
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
^ Thanks
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
something tells me she will make a good mother-in-law!

Not only married but consumed also. Unless her new husband divorce her, she can not marry her old husband. These 'maut ke saudgar' use this as legal prostitution, or Dulhan ek raat ki.
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
^ Why can't the woman claim qula (or maybe not allowed in tribal culture!)
Khula must be allowed and is a different thing. Halala happens because a divorced couple cannot get back together, even if they want to, unless the woman is married again to someone else, consumed that marriage, and then got a divorced. Halala is a questionable practice, because a nikah with an intention of divorce is not a valid nikah to begin with. So if person A is asking person B to marry his ex wife and then divorce her so person A can marry her again (now she is halal for him, hence the term halala), then according to almost all school of thoughts, it's not allowed, as nikah (of person B to ex Mrs A ) with intention of divorcing her after two days, is not allowed.
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
Thanks again..
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
consumed or consumated marriage?
Btw, what was this ashrafi guy mad about as Marvi really didn't insult anyone (they were facts) and she wasn't even talking about Ashrafi there. Some of his stands might be useful but I would keep ashrafi two arm lengths away or more.
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
Consummated.
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
Hmmm..
Who has time for Maulana Aziz?
If you see the TV he is all over the place. He is taking part in every debate. There are very few who are confronting him.. while he is threatening everyone on every channel.
1) He warned people that Taliban have 500 female suicide bombers. If their demands are not met.. they will make hell for everyone.
2) He categorically denied that Taliban are fighting because of US, Afghanistan, or drones like our Khan sahib have been telling us all these years. The clear objective of Taliban is to impose their sharia in the country. US, Afghanistan and drones are petty issues for Taliban.
3) He challenged Altaf Hussain and a leader of bralevi sunni sect that if they have power (in Kashif Abassi's program yesterday).. they should pick up arms and fight against Taliban instead of hiding behind army like cowards. Moulana Aziz thinks Taliban are more powerful than State of Pakistan even.. therefore it's their right to implement the system which they want.
4) When asked about giving amnesty to killers of 50,000 innocent people.. he said that when two powerful groups negotiate, you don't ask about punishing past killings.
Everyone in the country is watching and listening this character now. Our government is negotiating with criminals and traitors in the hope of gaining some temporary peace. In the long run the concessions we are going to give to these criminals will hit back on us much more severely than we can imagine. They will just gain more and more power with these concessions.
Which TV program did he give these statements in?
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
It is not surprising considering what he did at Lal Masjig.

i'm afraid this is the way the crooks do it. it's a kinda 'loophole' they have found in Deen as well. peopletry to cheat Allah [nauuzobillah] the same way the cheat each other.
Halaalah is NOT arranged or is NOT 'temporary'...if that was the case then divorcing your wife would have been a trivial thing. in a poor country and where 'might is right', the influential husband can easily coerce someone into marrying his divorcee with JUST arranged nikaah and and arranged talaaq without the marriage being consummated even. this is not what Allah has intended.
the correct and desired way of Halaalah in the sight of Allah is when a divorced person marries someone out of his/her own free will with the intention to stay married for life without any social/moral pressure put on them [without any pre-arranged understanding to get a divorce]. now, if the divorce happens between them [without planning] naturally, then she will be Halaal for her EX to marry her.
anyother way is a big sin and is tantamount to prostitution/gross violation of hudood set forth by Allah.
Allah ke Hukm kii 'adooli hogii aur jo gunaah e kabeera hogaa aur jiskii sazaa yaqeenan saKht tareen hogii.
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
^ to the point, we have made this into legalized prostitution
I agree. My definition was only in the context of the question that I answered; not what halala is but the way it has been used.

Marvi makes all valid points here and she is right when she says that not every Tom Dick & Harry should be called a maulana or aalim (our nation's biggest tragedy!). But she could have toned down some of the language... jab tak fauj inn k moun mein thoonstey rahen khuraak etc. Ashrafi is known to have links with the army and the ISI and was even called upon by the army to speak with the terrorists after the attack on GHQ. He therefore took offence
Re: Marvi Sirmed in heated exchange with Maulana 'Burqa' and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi
Ohh then yeah I didn't know that background. But still, he shouldn't have gone all hyper over that. It might be distasteful but it isn't personal like sita white or altaf hussain's wife etc.
