There was an interview of a little girl on TV the other day - she was sold for 60,000 rupees (I think) to a 60 year old. She ran away - he hit her and used knives on her. She's in a shelter right now, but man, things like that happen. Her parents were the ones to sell her off. Mother and step-father.

She wants to study Islam and become a teacher and support herself as she grows up.

Did anyone see this? I forget the name of the show - something on Geo Hina Kay saath.

I am feeling SO very blessed that I had boyz lol!!! I know, it really isnt something to laugh about. Seriously I think the parents are just looking to find the best of the best for their little ones. That could be my rose-colored glasses once again but that is my take on it,, hopefully that is the intent of the parents,,,,

something really scary to think abt...my eldest went to kindergarten last year, his class was ALL boys! There is SUCH a deluge of boyz in our district thta I wonder what will happen when they get to prom years. Its like a 10-to 1 ratio!!
