About Aminah Haq's situation i doubt that the case would be the one which you have put forward, because she is not a girl sitting home with no idea of the outside world, she has a graet career and lots of exposure to the outside world(much more than many men even double her age) ..... i guess maybe till now she just hasnt found the right person to tie the knot with or maybe she isnt ready to quit her career and get married yet.

You're right SP, we can't read Aminah's mind and we don't know what she's thinking in terms of life goals and marriage. I remember reading her 'Girl Friday' articles in Friday times and realizing she is not as sweet and innocent as most Pakistani girls I've known. She does lead a very cosmopolitan, party lifestyle. And her whole waking life seems to be consumed by fashion, fashion people or saying 'moi' an awful lot. To tell you the truth I found those articles quite irritating and they didn't make me like her very much.
Here's a pic of Rubab....(rubarb). I was shocked when I heard she had kids and was back on the fashion catwalk within months of having a baby. She is really skinny, so I'm assuming it must be a genetic gift.
Any of several plants of the genus Rheum, especially R. rhabarbarum, having long green or reddish acidic leafstalks that are edible when sweetened and cooked. Also called pie plant.
The dried, bitter-tasting rhizome and roots of Rheum palmatum or R. officinale of eastern Asia, used as a laxative.

first one i think i wanna know ... hope that you can help me out here
why is it that almost everyone wants Pakistani girls to act sweet and innocent, cant they bcome tom-boy type?
As for her life style ... well she was brought up not in a village near the river ravi but lived in big cities getting her education from the elite institutions and on top of that she has the stamp of being Mustafa Khar's daughter (wheather she likes it or not). And as for talk bout fashion and showbiz... well thats what she does best ... that is her career ...
what else do u want her to talk about... nuclear physics or chemical reactor design??
I’m not saying that I want all Pakistani girls to be sweet and innocent. They can be anything they want to be because we all answer to God for our decisions. I’m a tomboy myself. So don’t be so quick to judge! I grew up with two younger brothers and I know how to throw a football. But I wouldn’t exactly call Aminah Haq a tomboy. I’m saying she’s not like the typical girls that I know. And no I don’t expect her to know anything other than the shallow world she exists in. But I am entitled to my opinion that she annoys me with her Girl Friday articles. Are you related to her or just in love…you really seem to be defending her?
