Re: Married ladies of GS
When I got married, I moved from Canada to US. So there was no culture shock. It is just me and my husband, as my husband works here. My whole family and his whole family live in Canada. However, it was quite different for me, as I moved from a large city with lots of Muslims and Pakistanis, to a small town that has maybe 200 Muslims (half Pakistani/half Arab). I was also working full time in Canada, but because of visa issues I cant work here. There was a lot of adjustment when I moved here, and it was a struggle. I did have some depression in the beginning, but eventually you get used to the way you are living, you meet people, you start to socialize, and it gets better.
Thanks for replying.
I wonder how girls who moved away from Pakistan dealt with it. Were they prepared for the move or were they all into the shadi preps? Niece that I just mentioned is moving away from Pakistan, and I don’t think anyone’s really told her what to expect.
