In light of conversation in this thread regarding conquerers,
just wanted all you who are Muslims know that I am personally sorry that anybody in the Christian faith, my ancestors, ever construed the faith to allow for the un-"Holy" Crusades. I know that it was almost 800 years ago but that does not make what happened right. personally I do not understand how anybody who reads the Bible could be lead to believe this is OK. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies, how could this lead to the sword? So much so that when Peter loped off an ear of a centurian when they came to take Jesus, Jesus healed the mans ear, and reprimanded Peter. I hope that it is possible for the Muslim world to forgive the Christian world for the crimes committed in the name of faith.

TT, the Muslims are a race of people who are hardly ever concerned with what happens in the past and history, hence there are rarely any chroniclers of past events in Islam unless it happens to be part of Islam...Then it is chronicled...And I am sure, every race that Muslims came into contact with has had historians of their times who wrote stuff all the time...How come we never find an atrocity from Muslims taking place in those times by those people? Something must have survived?
If where Alexander stepped and Genghis slept and Hannibal walked and Socrates ate, I am sure there must be someone from the time of Islamic expansion to chronicle the atrocity of the Muslims? And don;t tell me that Muslims annihilated everyone so that no one could write anything...That's absurd...
As far as hating the Zionists and Americans are concerned, they have overstepped their boundaries and are nopw causing mischief in the land by slaughtering innocents...Muslims don't hate them, it's just that they must be stopped...If it means 'terrorizing' them into stopping their persecution and injustice, so be it...No tactic should be spared until these races are taught that persecution has a price which will come to haunt you, sooner or later...And the more later it comes, the more horrible it is...Hate has nothing to do with Muslims wanting Americans and Zionists to stop their atrocities...

I believe that the line of thinking especially great campaigns were done were different and some murders etc were acceptable behaviour....
At least in my history texts in school there were stories of Mughal invaders but then I can hardly hold taht against their descendants...
My point is that you use gross generalisations such as
"Muslims dont hate"
"Muslim conquerors never killed anyone" etc....
You can vouch for yourself, and nobody else.....

We Americans for the most part hate to see anyone persecuted. For example Iraq. The biggest reason I wanted us to go in there was because of the atrocitys committed against the Iraqi people by Sadam's Regime, unfortunately we appear to have been wrong about Weapons of mass distruction so our stated reason for going in was wrong. Unfortunately it seems that extremists are dead set on causing discord. If they would just stop the bombing we would pull out sooner and they would have control of their government again. I would hope that the government that gets set up in Iraq would be truly representative of the people. I know that my government, in the past has set up puppet governments so I really pray that Iraq will be a strong self governed nation. Without, the torture of those that disagree with the state. I can only hope that the Iraqis will be as prosperous as Japan and Germany was after World War II. Unfortunately we don't always help those in need.
Another problem we have as one of the most powerful nations in the world is that we can do no right. If we don't help some nation or people being persecuted, we don't do enough and someone wants to punish us because we did not help. Take Afghanistan when they were our alies against the Soviets we supported them. Then when we pulled out later some grew to hate us because we did not help. Now in Iraq, we knocked out the opressive regime. Ok so if we leave we will be evil because we let innocent people die at the hands of the terrorists and we did not help the Iraqi's restore a peaceful government. If we don't go we will be evil because we are oppressing the Iraqi's and practicing imperialism.
I don't care how you look at it, when you are living in a world economy and you're powerful you can't do anything right. 'Cause you can't please all the people all the time. I just wish other nations in the world could understand this if not a little. If we were truly oppressive do you think we would have ever given Japan back and helped them set up a self governance. How about Germany after World War II. Why not just keep that nation as one of our colonies. Force them to pay taxes, as the English did long ago. I'm granting that in the US history we have individuals that have been oppressive. But sooner or later the media gets wind of it and an accounting is required.
