u guyz r taking this way 2 seriously .. i mean if this arport is mostly privavtely funded then whats the problem.. these rich businessmen usually don spend their money on schools n hospitals n we all know that. so if they r doing something worthwile like building an airport, i don see y there shd be so much fuss abt it. it will be gd for them but gd for the people for sialkot as well.. i think its a great project.

Fraudia, i agree both go hand in hand. But if the education is there, but the facilities are not, investment will increase like in teh Indian IT sector. The had the raw material and labor, the investment came in and look at them and they only built large expensive infrastructure once they new the investment was going to keep coming in.
Spock, They have an industry. Good for them. With a proper education system the possibilities are endless for all types of secondary industries to be set up. Put it this way, we establish a solid schooling system, which turn out doctors, engineers and the good old fashion "solid jobs". It makes it easier on the local people and the industry as they already have these labor resources for addition more complex work heck even starting secondary industries, like resturants, hotels, car shops.

What youre saying makes sense, obviously, education should be the nations number one priority as a whole, but in this particular scenario, it doesnt really make sense. Firstly, the business community like I said before (and akpower later reiterated) are only interested in profit. Secondly, unlike other exports and businesses in Pakistan, this one is on the rise. Go anywhere in the world and the best hand stitched football one will find would have the Pakistan label on it. This business is very legitimate, and everything that comes and goes in frieght is monitored and its not just the businessmen making money, they are being taxed and undergo customs. Now its not that easy to get away with tax fraud and customs freelancing, especially if youre exporting material.
ive read all tha points.. and they all are valid points..
firstly i think the airport is a great story.. especially coz tha money came from business ppl....
secoundly we do need educatoin.. which is actually tha reason we have a high crime rate.. and poverty...
so to solve the education policy.. the governement will not do all tha way.. so ull need to actually get of ur butt and go back to pak and invest in education ur self
talkin is cheap.. but acting on it hard... everything in pakistan will not be done by government.. since most of them are corrupt.. and also are just doin business them selves off ppl....
so y not try thsi ur self... it doesnt cost much as well.. coz u only need to teach tha kido some basics.. which we are heavly lacking..
and that thing about indians.. well its true.. but then.. their infrastructure was already there wen british left...
so if u wana really want somethin.. u have to do somethin ur self.. coz typin here wont help.. i know its hard.. but try.. u never know.. wid Allah's help u will inshallah suceed
