First of all I dont use Tendulkar's absence as an excuse for India's pathetic performance. Second using your own logic the way Pakistan has performed against Australia & South Africa - It's time for entire team to get injured or chicken out which ever they prefer.

You lost against BD - You said match was fixed
You lost against Aus - You said match was fixed
You lost against Ind - You said Akram took money..
There are so many examples..why cant you accept that your team's performance was pathetic on those days and your team is not invincible either.

Khair a serious note is that no one can dispute/deny the fact that India won all 3 clashes of WC so far as they kept their nerves intact and similerly no one can dispute/deny the fact that Pakistan's win ratio against India is almost double to India's ratio (i.e 61/34).
Yeah and on the same serious note no one can dispute/deny that India has as much chance of winning as pakistan does.

Tu uncle jazbate keyun ho rahey heen bilkul heen chances jetney k. meen nay kub kaha hay k nahee heen chances jetney k. I was just saying k if we minimize our view window to worldcup tu India k ziada chances heen jetney k but if we look at the whole story Pakistan team (and its record) is way better than Indian team. Dare to challenge that ? You know you cant (or may be u have a reason "stats normally lie" ) :)

PS : and dont talk about the reasoning of losing match. We have heard about the "bad pitches" for whole series of NZ till in last 2 onedayers that you guys "realized" (God knows if you guys did or its still a matter pitches) that your team was performing really pathetic.

Nakhrey Wali Tai - emotional to aap ho rahe ho - I have said it more than once that Pakistan has always been a better team than India and I have no shame in accepting that. But at the same time no one can say that Pakistan can always beat India -

And If you think about the overall record than Perhaps West Indies has better win record against most of the teams, but that does not mean that West Indies’s chances of winning against Pak/Aus/SA or Ind are better.

Pak or any other team’s winning chances in this tournament are based on the performance of their present team and I think India and Pak are at the same level now.

Who used the excuse India and till last 2 ODIS ? Better read this story on what fleming had to say about pitches after the first ODI :-

And why the NZers are probing ?http://www-usa.cricket.org/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2003/JAN/122246_PRESS_15JAN2003.html

PS : I know about Indian teams capability esp abroad and am not surprised at all and have never used the pitches as an excuse.

bus yee hee sunna tha Aaif Uncle you are good :k:

1st March game will be more of a nerve game than cricket match with players to watch includs

Saeed, Shoaib, Yousuf and Akram From Pakistan side
and 10dulkar, Sehwag and Zaheer from Indian side.

Aren't you very fond of thrashing Pakistan?

We didn't have Waqar in 1992 World Cup, just for the record.

Let's see how we fare this time.

Well in 1992, Imran was past his best for sure.. just like Waqar has now.Though Waqar is better Now then Imran Was in 92. The only bowler who was at his peak then was Akram.

whatever happens..this be a BIG occasion. its Pak and Ind for godsake. People talk abt the Ashes and the rivalry b/w Aus and Eng and stuff like that. However, Pak and Ind...now THATS a rivalry (on the field) and s'thing to talk abt n look forward to.

Doesnt get bigger than that. :D

3 cheers for a fascianting match-2-b. Hope it lives up to all this hype and not what we saw on the 21st of June 1999 at Lords :(

I hope it turns out to be a good match!

Support the Kuptan!

It will be interesting to see because India has won all three tosses before, and elected to bat first. Pakistan having problems chasing, lost each time. This time however, if India win the toss, they would be in some sort of a dilemma. They have after won 19 games in 2002 out of which 12 were won while chasing. They lost 13 games out of which 7 were lost while batting first.

India has grown into becomming good chasers, and will give Ganguly a ponder to think about.

^
no matter how good a team gets at chasing targets, the whole world knows pakistan cant chase a target of 200+....
so if india wins the toss, ganguly wont even think before taking his bat and running to the pitch (ofcourse with extra protective gear to avoid breaking his ribs again while facing shoaib)....

finally india has no excuse to chicken out....

People's CHamp:

wah wah...

thanks for the khabarnama :)...

but yeah...lets see what happens...

Pakistan Zindabad!! :D :D

This will be the first time, that I can watch cricket matches live at home, since I got the ARY subscription recently.

Uff! Ye 1st March kab aae ga? I just can’t wait. Hopefully phir humme :bhangra: daalne ka mauka mille ga.

Pakistan is gonna win InshAllah… :jhanda:

ammiiiiiii i cantttttt waittttttt.. lol

If you look at the matches of Pakistan-India in the World Cup, we lost it because of we batted second. Pakistan isn't a good chaser at all. We always get panic as wickets starts fallin'. Therefore, I'd suggest Pakistan to bat first if we win the toss. Otherwise, it's all up to Akram, Younis, Mushtaq, Razzaq, Akhtar and Afridi(if included).

This comin' World Cup match would be different from the previous ones. India doesn't have a fast bowler except Srinath. Zaheer Khan is a medium pace. Pakistan has four; and would include three fast bowlers in the team squad on the day of match.

On battin' line-up, Pakistan has got opener problem. Saeed Anwar is a talented player but has been away from Cricket. Thereofore, can't bet it on his skills, not before playin' against Australia and England.

Taufeeq Umer is a good player. I think if our team opens with Saeed Bhai and Taufeeq, they sure will provide good openin' partnership. Otherwise, gamble with Afridi.

Let me know, what you guys think of this squad:

[li]Saeed Anwar.
[/li]
[li]Taufeeq Umer or Shahid Afridi.
[/li]
[li]Yousuf Youhana.
[/li]
[li]Inzamam-ul-Haq.
[/li]
[li]Younis Khan.
[/li]
[li]Abdul Razzaq.
[/li]
[li]Rashid Latif.
[/li]
[li]Saqlain Mushtaq.
[/li]
[li]Wasim Akram.
[/li]
[li]Waqar Younis.
[/li]
[li]Shoaib Akhtar.

If we chase we lose, else we win.

Historically proven, all logic suggests this will continue to be the reality of Pak-Ind games in WC's-we tend to choke chasing.

you never know .. it cud be the other way round!
