Agree.

Dravid must realize now, this is NOT THE RIGHT TIME to give more chance to Sehwag.

Uthappa is doing well in his place. With Ganguly available when group matches start, there is absolutely no problem in opening combination for India at the moment!

looking at these wickets they seem a bit slow as predicted.i think srilanka with their spinners can be one of the favorites now,they love conditions like that

Here's the quandary....

Pathan is a better batsman than Sehwag(on current form) .

The Indian team management ought to show some creativity here..give Sehwag a couple of more chances...if he fails...use Pathan (the batsman) in his place. Of course Pathan can always also contribute with the ball.

Now, with Australia back on track...The World Cup looks more predictable:(

its only a practice match..not sure how much winning here counts..australia 's one or two bowlers were still struggling today against a pathetic english batting line up

India does have a selection issues going into Group stage. Looks like Following guys are certainty..

Ganguly
Uthappa
Dravid
Sachin
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Zaheer
Munaf
Agarkar
Hrabhajan

Now they are left with one slot and need to think who to play.
Choices are :
1. Sehwag: He is in poor batting form but can bowl a bit and this will be need since team has 4 bowlers only.

Pathan: He did improve as bowler in last few matched. But if you play him..you will get into the match with 5 bowlers which is good thing but your tail starts looking a bit too long.
Karthik: Have him middle order and rely on Sachin and Yuvraj to bowl out 5th bowler quota of 10 overs.

How does that make it predictable? That was just a warm up match sir against a mediocre english line up whose bowling line up just does not have suitable bowlers for these conditions.

You mean if Pathan is selected in place of Sehwag....the tail starts to look long. But Sehwag is not exactly firing on all cylinders at the top of the order.

So, as I said - Pathan (the batsman) should be preferred to Sehwag(the batsman) on current form.

Unrelated to the above...I would have much liked Romesh Powar in place of Harbhajan. His slow bowling and sensible batting abilities would have come in handy.
