Manchester-where to shop?

Thankss this is all really helpful! I'm
Compiling a list of all these places and getting addresses etc together.
Will also be jewellry shopping/browsing whilst there. But I'll leave that to other family members to guide me on. I don't have much interest in it.

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Burooj

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Mysh - nice breakdown of the shops. I know there are some designers that would courier the dresses as well - if you had them made in Pakistan. It might be worth it to go through Facebook etc. to see recommendations.

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

If you're looking for a Pakistani style bridal dress, I would recommend Rubina Khan boutique in Burnage. My sis got married this year and they replicated a HSY bridal lengha for her. I shopped there a couple of days ago as well and the lady there said they were getting a new bridal range in at the end of Jan so its worth popping down there as well if you can.

You also have Burooj on Wilmslow Road as other ppl have mentioned.

Other than those, I wouldn't really recommend any other shop in manc because they're just not very up to date :/

Good luck with the shopping btw! x

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Dear Layla, thanks for letting know. Can you please give the address or a landmark in Burnage where the shop is?

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Raima, are you referring to Bombay Stores? I heard it's a good place to shop, but never been.

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Bradford is AWFUL...so tacky!!

Burooj and Je Roche are really good and Rubina Khan does have nice outfits, but there not very heavy. I've ordered my bridal from Burooj, it's going to arrive in mid March....arghhhh!

When did you place your order at burooj?

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

How much did it cost? Did you design it yourself?

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Aliyah - I ordered on Saturday, and paid my deposit.

Tahiya - I took lots of pics with me when i visited 2 months ago and we worked around the style of my pics and embroidery of a dress that was in the shop...so i sort of have designed it myself because i chose the design, colours, and fabrics myself and told him to add a few more gold crystals on to it.
I'm just hoping it turns out to be beautiful (inshallah), its kinda scary designing something yourself.

He is going to provide me with a very small sample in jan so i can shop for other things.

I'm on the hunt for shoes now!

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

Hey Rania, yeah I just got it from their facebook page: Unit 6, The Southpoint, 12 Lane End Rd, Burnage, M19 1TU. Its just next to Tesco Burnage.

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

How much did the whole outfit cost? Omg inshallah hope it turns out nice for you!!

I'm scared to design something myself lol

Ah ok. So it takes them about 2-3 months to make it? :-/ I best get moving!

Re: Manchester-where to shop?

It came to £1900.

Yep you best get moving! I really wanted a sana safinaz bridal n she did say she could skype me n show me some of her range but i really wanted to physically go n order my dress.

So what else have u girls got sorted? Im on the hunt for my shoes now and will be gettin jewellery frm green street. Also havin my second makeup trial tomorrow, exciting!!

Re: Manchester-where to shop?
