Malala hamari beti hai......

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

I have said many times that Imran needs to issue stronger statements against Talibans who are ANIMALS for me without any doubt.

Let's say Imran comes out and issues STRONG statement against Talibans, serious question is what is next after that?

Would Taliban stop attacking innocent people?
Would that end terrorism in Pakistan (Or even minimise it)?
If Talibans carry out more attacks as a result of Imran's statement, who would be held responsible?
Surely, people will die as a consequence and many of them children, are we ready for more trouble in the country?

Most likely scenario if he issues strong statement is some more attacks and possible chaos.

Imran needs to issue statements against Talibans but at the same time we want a long term solution for this problem as well. If people think he is scared, he has already PROVED he is far more brave than other leaders by visiting Quetta, Wazristan, anti movie protests etc so that's obviously political statements more than anything.

His long term solution is:

  • We get out of this War on Terror (has been saying for a decade)
  • Keep tribal leaders on our side (Peace March against drones is one such step)
  • Isolate Talibans by having tribal areas protected by tribals
  • Offer extremist a chance to lay down arms given that we don't support war, are against drones etc etc
  • Final option (Imran has said this himself) is to take action against those criminals who are working on agenda.

If you don't agree with above then let's keep fighting then and hopefully one day there will be peace, could possible take another decade, cost us Billions of Dollars, may lose 1000s of more lives.

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

Are you talking about whole Pakistan or overwhelming majority of Pakistan or some other strength?

Within few time, media aroused these sentiments in people. Media does not highlight a single of many other people devoted their whole life for educational reforms.

Education is needed everywhere in Pakistan. There are so many non-profit organizations working in Pakistan for educational reforms. Without consulting internet, how many non-profit organizations do you know providing education to poor children?

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

Many terrorist activities have taken place before, and will take place afterwards...but this particular incident has become a turning point as to finally decide how we have to tackle the menace, and are the terrorists really reconcilable? The way they have tried to justify their action through Quran and Hadith has further muddled the issue. For the first time most of the public is at least united in condemning the event and thinking about the end of terrorism in the country.

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

If PMLN win next election and PPP become opposition, both will swap their stances with each other.

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

^ no body can or should allow a state within state, when the operation was carried out in Swat Pakistan Army had to take permission from taleban to move through the area.

At the most the government can have the drone strikes and operations halted, reach out to the tribes to isolate the taleban. If some of them throw their weapons well and good, otherwise there will always remain a hard core cadre which will keep on defying the state and will have to be tackled somehow, it doesnt matter who is in power.

Re: Malala hamari beti hai......

no body can or should allow a state within state, agree.
one thing that confuses me, if pakistan army carry out an operation against taliban, how come taliban permit Pak army to move through an area they rule.
