I called up newlook and depilex and they take 60000 for a complete make up of all sorts i.e. professional, model, party, formal etc all types. 60,000 is expensive!

Daffy, I did my course at Depilex and it cost me more than 60.000. But I tell you it was certainly worth it! I was spending the summer in PK and needed to do something besides shopping all day. I always had a great passion for make up and the course was really very helpful in enhancing my make up skills.

But its very expensive! 60,000 is way too much just for a makeup course when i can already do reasonably well make-up, normally. I wanted to join to learn some formal/party makeup after marriage type. Basically, what products to get and which exacty will suit me but 60,000 for that .. id get so much makeup after research in 60,000 and then learn by practicing instead.What do you think?

its more then 60.000 in depilex they told me around 1 lakh some thing i paid 35000 for make up and 12000 for self grooming...then u have to buy all kind of stuff

Depilex has trained people like Ather Shahzad, Madeeha and Tariq Amin..how can they be pathetic?

hey guys...i am just going to pak - lahore for 2 months and i just wanted to take some make up classes there...

so my questions

1) does anyone know who is the "best" beauty parlour... i have heard about
- depilex
- alle nora
- new look
- madeeha

2) i think i can make up myself very well and i just want to improve my eyesmake up...so i can dress up my self for a special ocassion
( i dont need any class to learn how to use a sponge to put a liquid foundation on my face and such things!!)

3) i have heard their are two type of classes:

a. self grooming classes
- i have heard they teach u the simple basis...how to use foundation...and eyeliner...and such things...but i can do this
- whats the price and the period?

b. professional classes**
- u learn everything even how to make up a bride...but i dont want to learn it on a professional way! just want to learn it for ME...not to go to any parlours anymore!
- whats the price and the period of this class ?

4) is there any alternative...somebody heard about it ??
just want to learn well professional eye make up (especially 2-3 eyeshadows) for myself !!

Hejsa.. u had done both makeup & self grooming courses? I wish to do 1 of them, preferably self grooming course, so what would u suggest which one is better ,the makeup or self grooming course? also what were the time periods & length of those courses? as i'll come to pk only for 2 months so won't have enough time :(

60,000 for a course is not bad when u consider that brides cud pay from 25-50 K for one day of makeup..

Hmmm... I would love to take a make-up course BUT I also know that MAC offers amazing lessons for a whole year...dunno how much it costs BUT it is worth it....I have seen sites where the make-up artists that learnt from the MAC studios teach how to do certain looks and they go into teeeeni tiiiny details bit OMG is it amazing....
