Well....it all depends on what you really want to go for :-) I really didnt want myself having those cracked lines around my laugh lines....which come around when you get all that caked up layered
base, and the MUA telling me not to smile or laugh or TALK lest I end up cracking up. And mine did not seem a party makeup at all :-)
Infact, my SIL got her party makeup done and hers was way too different than mine. So as I said, it all depends. Moreover, I just shared my experience.

what are ur prices for party make up because my mom

Party Makeup is for for 7k..i went there for booking around a week ago n thts wat i was being told coz we too were planning a party makeup for my sisiter bt havent booked yet.

Hey thank u so much! I went yesterday but unfortunately she's all booked for the day. There are 7 brides on my nikkah date!!!!! Omg. Lol. But the date is pretty good so I guess it's busy busy time in Shadi world. :) Mama and Khala will just have to go somewhere else now.

guys i wud luv to take party makeups but it gets really hard to manage every1 with me doing the makeups alone. obviously brides r a priority so i dont like booking party makeups unless i can manage to do their makeups...hope u understand :). i hope ur sister and khala look lovely wherever they go :). looking forward to seeing u guys :)

hi muzna! its only possible when the timings of the brides vary. 1 bride will b a morning bride and 1 bride who wants to b ready a bit late as the function is at a farm house or some other place where hall timing is not a factor to worry about. also some brides dont hv photoshoots b4 the rukhsati, they also want to b ready a bit late...so all brides are managed well coz of the difference of their timings.

but will you be handling each of the 7 brides yourself or will you have junior artists working on them?

regardless of how much the timings may be staggered, providing individual attention to 7 brides sounds a bit far fetched I would say......

all bridal makeups are "signature" meaning i do them MYSELF. there is no compromise there.....ever. so that settles ur 1st query.
handling the number of brides may sound far fetched to u, but i'm a professional and being organized helps. i only take as much as i can manage efficiently. if there r 7 brides, they r attended and managed well.

Her makeup skills are really good for people who like natural makeup. Ive got makeup from her twice and have sent friends to get makeup from her as well. Masha Allah each one was beautiful!

Daffyduck,

You have been doing a lot of research on bridal makeup & I have seen you opening threads helping others. In most threads,you praise Mariam a lot. So I have started to consider her for my makeup as well. My budget is a little less than her rates so I've always been unsure of what I should go for. What do you recommend, should i talk to her or go for some other makeup person?

TBH I've said time & again in various threads that I've always lkiked Ather Shahzad & Mariam's makeup. Ather Shahzad are not even an option since they are way above the line that I'd even think of.

Mariam - Well, she has makeup that is my type. I've been to various places but the natural matte finish with eyes standing out, with a softer look overall is what she is giving & what I am looking for. She is a bit out of my range for my makeup budget. Initially I called her & talked to her but she was'nt bringing the price down which upset me a bit since all the other places were bringing it down BUT the actual place I like wasn't bringing it down. But gradually, ive noticed that she does in fact accomodate as much as she can. The prices are expensive but she sometimes accomodates mehendi designs, mehendi makeup, flower setting or some thing or the other in the package. If you like her work enough, do some talking with her maybe she can help you out somehow and make the package something within your range.

I am communicating with her as well. If something that is reasonable for me works out, ill go for her definitely. It all depends on your liking for the work which I have. So if you too are serious about it, talk to her in fact she herself is on the forum as well. I am sure she'll manage something out for you. Best of luck!
