Well, I am no one to ask anyone to leave anything. I myself need alot of guidence from good muslims.
As far as the article is concerned, I think the writer wants to convey that we must adopt those sources of entertainment which do not come in between us and our beliefs, rather they should further strengthen our "Imaan"
If we observe the life of the Prophet (saw), (whose footsteps we need to follow) His every single "habbit" or "activity" was morally good and beneficial, without wasting ANY "time" and "money" in useless activities, and without disobeying Allah in any way.
