I was told this novel was published earlier this year In khawateen digest. Does anyone has this novel? Can some one post it here or provide a link. I really wants to read this.
How can it be a novel if it was published in a digest? Wouldn't it be more like a short story?

I watched half of the first episode and am wondering if the main character abdul Qadir is mentally challenged? his personality etc reminds me EXACLTY of an autistic cousin of mine

Watched all the recaps and all i can say is YUK. stereotypical black and white characters ranging from the overbearing and "MADURNN"( modern) nagging mother to the spoilt godless rich brats, the overly "bhola" guy (who i initially thought had Asperger syndrome) to the wise but mazloom dad. Sounds like khwateen digest's fairy tale story!!

and what's with the fake goan accents of amina skeikh and her mom. The typical accents used to indicate that the characters are christian. I mean come on, even bollywood quit using those a decade ago.

^ exactlie!! the fake accents of both aamina and the lady playing her mum, make me cringe :\ i've tried watching this drama a few times but the scenes are unbearably long. This is the first drama which so many people are going crazie over, but only i dont see whats so good in it.

I agree with the accents part. That's why when I watch it online, I go ahead and skip the amina sheikh and her mother scenes. I find the mom annoying and I don't like her in other dramas either. I don't understand why her mom's urdu is christian like... unless if she's a south indian muslim or something, it doesn't make any sense for her to speak in that way.

^^ same here Soundarya. Amna Sheikh's accent should have been handled much better. It changes from sentence to sentence.
But overall I like the story and the message. And Fahad is doing a good job.

I've never heard any Pakistani or Indian Christian speak with that accent. The people in Goa used to speak that way because it was a Portuguese colony, but other than that why would they speak with that accent?

I watched the first episode and just saw the 11th one this week. Seems like a good drama. I do love Faisal and Fahad's acting, especially Faisal's Punjabi Urdu accent.
Oh agree with doree Amina's accent is annoying. I don't understand why they have always portrayed Christians with that accent in Pakistani dramas.

Technically she should have a British Accent since they are in "Britain" LOL but her accent is completely random! it's neither here nor there.
And the lady who plays the mother shouldn't act at all - I am sorry but she is always annoying!

Yeah, it does seem random.
I think they try to show her mum having regrets for not following her religion and sort of living in the past, I'm not entirely sure I'm just assuming I usually end up skipping her parts. May be if she didn't scream as much and didn't have that annoying accent, she'd more tolerable and there'd be some substance for the audience to ponder upon.
On another note, the more I watch the show the more I'm loving Faisal, he has so much talent. He has done so many versatile roles.

this drama has such a good message and has some really good dialogues in it.
Too bad they did not take care of the technicalities!!!!!! Aaaahh - Nell's makeup keeps on changing from dark to light. Her urdu is waay too good to be true. They should have let her speak mostly in English with subtitles like they are doing in QeT. Even in Uraan people spoke more English than Nell does!! Why is the 50 inch TV always on?? Is the crew constantly watching tv while they are rehearsing for the scenes and then forget to turn it off?? You are reading the Quran and the TV is on - seriously??? Aaaahhh! Why does BJ have to screw the small stuff!

ok i am gonna start watching this drama coz i have just realised that afraaz rasool is in this drama too. (I am LOVING him in dreamers on aag tv).
he is in this drama.....really i saw him in dreamers but never saw him here.......well im going to watch for him than.....hahahaha
