Re: Mac Cosmetics
Hi
I just want to know what is the name of the spray that will make your make up stay for hours?
What about:
Bruhes from mac?
Mineral make up from mac?
Wich mineral make up is the best?
Re: Mac Cosmetics
^ The spray is called Mac Fixing Spray
Re: Mac Cosmetics
I personally do not have any problems with my MAC makeup (foundation, eyeshadows, lipliner, lipsticks etc) at all. The only thing i didnt care for is their mascara.
I would suggest you go to MAC and tell htem what kind of foundation you want (powder, liquid, stick etc) and the kind of coverage you are looking for. If you arent comfortable with teh artist you get, go again later. Have them put products out on you and then walk around and see if the foundation changes color.
Also, i would suggest going into a Sephora and talking to someone there. They have a whole range of brands and you may get a foundation that you like better than MAC, who knows.
The key is to be satisfied with the products you get. So look for it until you find it, it doesnt have to be a certain brand only.
Re: Mac Cosmetics
what is a primer? sort of like a moisturiser or something?
Re: Mac Cosmetics
Its a pre-makeup conditioner for the skin, provides hydration enhances the wear and look of make-up
do yourself a favor and get SMASHBOX's photo finish
get mac's paint pot (its an eyeshadow primer for your lids so all those wet dry eyeshadows will show up and hold longer and its great for pigmented shades).
i love their lip glosses
i think benefit has the best cheek stain and it's good for your lips, especially if you plan on wearing red lipstick that way when the lipstick fades as you talk or eat it's like a back up
Re: Mac Cosmetics
Just want to add that for the Mac brushes don't buy too many unless you know how to use them all. I'd say go for the MAC 212 Flat Definer Brush for base colour application and the 224 Tapered Blending Brush for blending other shades on top. I think that would do for basic eye shadow application. If you don't want to spend too much on brushes then I love using Anabelle A-21 for the browbone and it's really cheap. I think you can get it from the your local walmart for about $5 ish. Also If you are planning on using the mac paint pots then you can save money by getting an AmericanPainter 4400 angular brush for a couple of $'s rather than getting a mac eye liner brush.
For face application get the 187 duo fibre brush for foundation application. It's a little expensive, but I think it's worth it. It makes my skin look flawless.
Best of Luck and do let us know what you end up buying!
Re: Mac Cosmetics
I would really recommend - 'g spot cosmetics'. Amazing products, the colouring is even more intense than mac products.
Check out the website - they were at the wedding exhibiton at wembley - cheaper than mac products!

Re: Mac Cosmetics
i would definitely check out mac's eyeshadow in the shade "satin taupe" its a beautiful shimmery neutral shade that goes with everything. Carbon is also a very basic matte black eyeshadow you can use for doing smoky eyes. I have warm golden undertones to my skin so i look horrible in pale eyeshadows. Try their bronzey eyeshadows (myth, antiqued (sp?)).... For lipsticks, Viva Glam I is a red most people can wear. Its good to have a red lipstick. if u like nude lips u could try the shades velvet teddy or jist. Mac lipsticks are drying though....I also like their lipgloss in the shade "enchanting"..but I gotta say I dont use lipgloss much since I cant stand the stickiness.
I love their fluidline eyeliner in blacktrak because it lasts forever.. (also buy the mac angled liner brush for this). If you dont have a steady hand, Mac recently came out with a pen eyeliner with their CHILL collection...its called the penultimate. I liked it because you cant go wrong with it.
has anyone tried that kabooki brush for foundation from MAC?
i heard good things about it... and someone told me that kim kardashian uses that brush for her foundation too...
Re: Mac Cosmetics
^ r u talking about the buffer brush?
I have a 182 buffer brush, it's preety good to blend out blush. feels very soft on the face....
