Should we care about the created and not the creator?
Are these people who do not like the truth going to save us in the life hereafter?
Keeping your mouth shut instead of telling lies is a better option. On the same hand, if you must, you should not still lie but a statement that is not a lie neither it tells you the real truth. In case your life is in danger, you are allowed to lie.
Nevertheless, just because people would not appreciate you telling the truth so you start lying, is absolutely baseless argument in my book.

not speaking up when you know the truth, is not good for anyone.
lying is worst thing ever.
always being truthful and supporting truth are the best rules to follow.

Hmmm, the way I react would depnd on the situation & who I am talking to. There are some people who i would never lie to, and if I did have to, I’d own up right away. Then theres some people (like gossip-thirsty aunties) who I wouldn’t care about saying whatever to.
