Re: Lying online

Lying online is not such a bad thing , because even if you are not lying everybody still thinks that you are lying. :hehe:

Re: Lying online

online is just for sharing thoughts and once in a while seeking help or advice. i think we're adult enough to know which advice is just to mess with your life and which advice is seriously good advice. we aren't in middle school so i think we can tell the difference. but i'm definitely not comfortable telling all my details and personal info. and it's nobody's business really knowing all your info single or married, living with someone, job description. after certain experiences in life i don't know how anybody can fall in love online, it can lead to a life of hell, i'm pretty sure

the outright liars that are online just to mess with people are ones hopefully all steer clear of

Re: Lying online

or even to people you were related to :hehe:

Re: Lying online

lies are fine, just make it imaginative and fun. if you are boring, please stick to the truth. will post more about this after i'm done with my lunch with barack.

Re: Lying online

I know of someone who build up a whole new "online-life" for herself when she was around 16 years old. And she stuck to it for quite some years with the friends she had made.. Everything was made up, like her parents, their age, her siblings, their occupation, everything .. I dont know why she did like that. But when she was online, it was a different "her" .. it was her "online-she" with a total different family etc etc. .. Scary!

Re: Lying online

^are you just messin with us, yea i know halloween is coming up but you don’t have to start the made up scary stories so soon :stuck_out_tongue: :bummer:

Re: Lying online

^No, I am totally serious! She really had made up her fantasy family ..

Re: Lying online

I do that too, its called writing a story. :p

Re: Lying online

technically not lies, I have multiple personalities living in their own make belief world, and I share truths as they relate to those multiple personalities and their imaginary world,

Oh and as far as telling lies, I tell lies about half the time in my posts.

Re: Lying online

a honest helpful hint -- 90% of avatars are just younger, thinner and prettier versions of their creators :D

Re: Lying online

Internet is a fascinating tool to live outside from where one actually resides.

It can be a great window to look outside and it can be made like a window to have people look at you however you want people to see you.

People who lie may belong to second category when they go to extreme.

When we meet perfect strangers even personally, they may say a lot about themselves which may not be true but eventually we just have to go along with what they say and move on.

At times it is easy to catch the liar and at times it is not...so what.

Sometimes, you just do not care and play along for fun.

Reminds me a long thread about so many guppies saying who they have been told they look alike.

Most said they have been told they look like some celebrity....and they may be right but we do have a need to be perceived as good ...........
..........and some may even petend to satisfy that need.

Re: Lying online

Lying is bad

either online or offline

People who do this intentionally need to get a life...

Re: Lying online

lolz, I bet the other person knows that as well :p
