To the best of my knowledge, once a lunar eclipse happened during the time of our prophet (saaw) he went to the mosque and prayed to ra'kaats namaaz out of fear of Allah (swt).
Not to sure about kusoof/kushoof, but am sure br. AQ will enlighten us.:)
