Tragic stories usually resonate with us better than happy endings because of the shock factor and because they seem more realistic. Not everyone has a fairy tale ending like Cinderella and her prince charming. Titanic, for example, would’ve lost it’s charm had there been a happy yet unrealistic ending to the story.

Don’t know..haven’t read your first post OP. But looking from title..i tell ya this. LOVE is over-rated. There is no such thing as love before marriage. Yes..care and being able to someone that is what heart yearns for..but true love is afta marriage yo. And all that jazz about love stories..there are nothing but stories. Just look around ya..ya’ll find thousands of “love stories” or love to tragic stories. So do what ya have to do and focus on ya’re well being.

I agree. There is no love before marriage.
To the OP: Seriously, those stories make me so angry. The love in those stories is so selfish, those characters sound so self-absorbed to me that I cannot even accept that as love. It’s more like being stupid.

Ya know HQ..this society has commercialized love so much that..people start believing that..that is the only way to find your one true love. I know so many people outside..in their relationship yet they are sad. Why because, their relationship has no respect or “contract” to bind each other. There is a reason..our religion stresses upon and sensitive to this relationship (after marriage)..it is because..that is how societies are based upon.

I never said love stories cannot be tragic they can be,of course you don’t get always what you want. But looking at “titanic” movie you can see that she moved on and spent her life, she didn’t kill herself. Same with dil to pagal hai, karishma loved but she didn’t kill herself. On the other hand over rated Romeo killed himself which is not right.
