hmm okay, makes sense. I personally think it's easier to remember the verses when you understand the meaning behind it. That also helps to know where to place emphasis on words and where to break/pause. But you're right, Pakistan main mostly just memorize karne pe zor hota hai.

The approach of just memorising is appropriate for 5-10 years children, but now at this stage I can't memorise, if I don't know whats the meaning behind the words.
