well i cant say abt the past as i dun know if people at that time were really closer 2 god compared 2 know and if their intentions were better.....but if u take our time....life is moving so fast every1 is concerned abt their goodwill...they want 2 only get n not give...they apply the same procedure with god....they pray when they want something they forget him when they r happier....i, myself included in this...which is really a shame cuz we understand this but still forget 2 remember Allah at all times instead of only at bad times...
