this makes no sense. if the mother decides to work instead of staying home for the child, its not like the father will have to stay home. different issues - custody and childcare.
Maybe I missed something in the article but it seemed like the reason she was given sole custody is because she's the mother. She was allowed to take his child away from him. Not even joint custody but sole custody.
He committed adultery but he still deserves to see his child. I was criticizing the hypocrisy of using the mother-child bond to justify this woman taking the child away, while you'll see the same type of women saying that the father can stay at home if the woman's career is more important, effectively putting down the mother-child bond.

In Pakistan the case was only of custody of the child.
So court gave a fine verdict.

Court also said that under Islamic law a father in these circumstances have no right on child.
I commend Lahore High Court for this decision. This guy cannot use Islam to get a custody of the child. Don't care if she hindu or not but she is mother of his child and deserves to get this little guy's custody.
