I lost respect for a few people when I found out they were all nicey nicey to my face but behind my back they said awful things that are on par with homewrecking.
If someone cannot respect me, I simply cannot respect them.

Losing respect means you stop respecting them ? Its not fair . Even if someone you don't like , then still you should know how to talk to him/her in a decent tone and with appropriate words . I think we are civilized enough to respect everyone at all the times . But if someone is dishonest or doesn't carry a right attitude , then one can keep his distance .

By losing respect she doesnt mean you have to disprespect them. When you lose respect for someone, you can still have a civilised conversation with them, but their opinions no longer hold any credibility. You would never go to that person for advice or trust them with anything that is important to you.

I think, ppl are too quick in judging others that is the main core issue due to which they loose respect for others. Maybe if they think about the backgrnd and other aspects from which the person is coming then they might not look so stupid.
I lose respect for people if I am positive towards them and they are negative towards them. i also lost respect for people who talk negative about other people when they are sitting with you, and talk negative about you when they are sitting with somebody else. they always have something bad to say about someone else.

I disagree. Respect is 100% earned. That is why we should ALL make effort to be somewhat morally and ethically developed.
