when do you all think it is coming on video? i am not exactly allowed to go to the movies; but have read all of the books; and am really saddened of not being able to see it!
I think Imma wait for it to come out on DVD, so I can fwrd all the gross parts... ILK ILK and its too long to sit in one place.

Oh my God - I just saw it yesterday - I am so mad that I didn't go the day it was released - my friend bailed out on me and then I had to leave for vacation....
But this has got to be the best movie I ever saw. Whether its better than the first or not, I can't say...because its all one book and naturally the mood will change as the rings comes closer to Mordor...
but visually, I think the effects were much better and the battle scenes were magnificent. The depicted Helm's Deep just as I had picured it. I read the book before the movie this time, and I have to say, I had a better experience than in Fellowship of the Ring, because I could follow what was going on...
And I have to agree with Fret - if there was any disappointment, it was the BIG changes they made to the storyline...i mean, especially when the Ring is taken to Gondor, which IT ISN'T (at this point).
The other disappointment I had was that they should have used the line that I'm using right now as my quote...I really really really wish Eowyn had said it...I was looking forward to it.
