I cannot believe that folks like MV, OG, and seminole refuse to accept the fact that US messed up going into Iraq. There was no reason for going in there and killing innocent people and causing the deaths of others (thanks to insurgent…sorry terrorists). If you really look closely, most muslims on this board will agree that terrorist acts are wrong and all possible measures should be taken to stop it…but for God’s sake open your eyes guys, US does not exist in a vaccum, our actions have consequences…just because we do it through our military does not mean its not murder (especially when the country has not attacked or threatened us).

Dude, I did not support the invasion of Iraq, but once there, I support what is best for Iraq and the US. If I do not acknowledge that we messed up it’s only becuase I am posting on a board where that is blared over and over in thread after thread. You don’t need me to do that. I save my “we screwed up and so did this president” rants for my republican friends - the ones who need to hear it.

I opposed the lead up to the war and I stongly opposed the re-election of Bush. You on the other hand were a very vocal supporter for his re-election. So don’t lecture me on where I stand on this war. What I don’t understand is how you can be crying in your cornflakes now after supporting the re-election of THE person who started the war.
