Pakistan down and out These days hockey is just a game of scoring goals from penalty corners. Most teams exploit this aspect. Hard-earned breathtaking field goals seem like a thing of the past
Pakistan surely cannot qualify for the semis now. After our unconvincing displays against Spain and Argentina, such a drubbing by GB was always on the cards
Expect an even worse thrashing by the Aussies and I won't be surprised if we go on to lose against South Africa as well.
As I said above, Pakistan cannot afford to concede too many penalty corners because of our generally poor defending skills
Not only is the forward line crappy lacking penetration (except for Rehan Butt), but the defence is also not up to the mark. In the golden days, we had world-class goal-keepers like Shahid Ali Khan (the best imo) and Mansoor Ali Khan who denied the opposition many times with spectacular saves. Our current goalie is rubbish. Even in the match against Spain, the equalizer was due to his mistake. He just let a seemingly innocuous straight shot slip between his legs.

GB and Australia drew 3-3! Still the group is wide open and no team is sure of a semi berth!

Spain may have a chance as well!
Both GB and Australia have got better goal difference advantage which may be helpful if 3 or 4 teams equal on points on the table.
Beating Australia would be an upset of the tournament!

BTW if u see our penalty corner defence you will notice that our dashers are always bit too scared and making dash side ways giving too much open place on both sides of the goal keeper.
Dasher from other countries run more straighter so they may have a chance to hit ball on the body on the other hand blocking one side . So the goalkeeper has to cover most of the right side hence reducing chances of getting scored.
