The lady is a desperate attention seeker. She did something similar when she came into the limelight, back when she wore that infamous pinned together Versace dress to a film premiere I think. She was dating Hugh Grant at the time and he was pretty mad, since she drew all the attention on th evening and not the film. I think she's starting to realise her looks are vanishing pretty quickly and is therefore resorting to cheap tactics such as this for people to notice - so sad...
For those who are concerned about insult to Indian culture:
As far as the story of the choli, or cropped tight sari blouse goes, researchers insist “these were unknown before the British arrived in India, and that they were introduced to satisfy Victorian ideas of modesty… [while] other historians point to much textual and artistic evidence for various forms of breast band and upper-body shawl.”
I don’t know what’s the big deal? She’s not muslim or religious…don’t apply your standards of modesty on her and leave her alone, she’s 44 and she still has a lovely body.

i don't get the outrage. liz hurley's worn a lot worse. and quite often too. this is innocuous in comparison..
My point exactly. I'm less offended by the fact that she's wearing a see-through sari than the fact that she always seems to be smuggling endangered, live sea-slugs in her upper lip.
Anyway, most of our homegrown Desi celebrities are probably pissed that they didn't think of this first!
