Lol. Allah know best what is in the hearts.
Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
even according to interior ministry figures the Karachi jalna had over 100000 people.give credit where it's due, tell PMLN to do the same in Lahore.
Go Nawaz Go !
PMLN might be able to do it in Lahore as it has been their stronghold, they should do it in a city which is NOT their stronghold.
Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
NS would be stupid to do a jalsa...these jalsas cost a lot of money and besides it would show his desperation.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
The best bit about the jalsa was that Imran started his speech with the message of uniting communities. You could already see the unity in the jam packed diverse crowd that included people of all ethnic backgrounds, faith, gender, age and social class. It was wonderful seeing Karachiites proudly cheering and celebrating anthems/songs played in all different languages. The jubilant mood of the crowd perfectly captured the true spirit of Karachi as the most diverse corner of Pakistan - it is the rich diversity of population, cultures and languages that makes Karachi the Mini Pakistan.
It was heart-warming to see people of Karachi throwing away the blanket of negativity and sorrow and coming together to celebrate a movement. To make a statement that they've had enough of being captives of status quo parties. PTI may not be an active player in Karachi politics on the ground level, but their message is certainly heard and agreed by the people of Karachi, as they proved it today.
Can you believe that those are people who see scores of politically motivated target killing, kidnapping, intimidation and harassment on daily basis? They were absolutely fearless.
Re: Live Updates of Azadi March
I think some of the credit for Karachi jalsa goes to the local leadership, like Arif Alvi and son Awab Alvi, Ali Zaidi, Imran Ismail and of course Asad Umer. These guys kept the momentum going in the last 40 days and today it culminated into a massive show.

I'm more interested in results and achievements rather than dharnas and jalsas.

Absolutely. In last 40 days, Karachi has hosted more protests on regular basis than Lahore, I'd say. But Asad Umar played a masterstroke by suggesting this jalsa idea.
I remember when MQM ministers used to bully Arif Alvi on TV that his party is totally non-existent in Karachi, it won't be able to draw a crowd of hundred people in the city. But look who's surprised and shocked now. No doubt, PTI local leadership has certainly worked very hard over the years,

MQM was counting on their Namaloom Afraad's fear tactics.

i have never quoted or protested anything that you guys post....enjoy and post whatever you want
but this is hitting below the belt...i told you this before as well that we should avoid criticizing personal lives...
you posted on maryam's personal life before as well...and called her ghar say bhagiee hoi larkiee.... do you know all personal details? and even if she did the love marriage, so what
sir jee aisee bee kaya dushmanie? and i will absolutely hate if someone criticizes jamaima life in relation to imran....
criticize maryam's political role as much as you want....few days ago i opened a thread against maryam in which i criticized her when she asked her maid to be granted business class...laikan why bring her personal life into it?
If bringing IK's personal life is a fair game, then so is everyone else's. She is a future politician and currently sitting on PM's youth loan plan.
I'd like to see your criticism when IK's personal life is brought into discussion here. You cannot be selective about it.
